(OK, a pony!)
Herb Holland, founder and president of C&E Communications, has top-level professional experience in virtually every communications discipline, from writing to multimedia production to advertising to strategic communications planning and execution (whatever that means.)
Herb's client list over the years reads like a Who's Who of American and international corporations, professional and trade associations, political organizations and elected officials. He has worked as
a special contractor to some
of the most successful advertising and PR agencies and public and governmental affairs companies in the world, and two American presidents (one from each side of the aisle.)

Newspaper Journalism (1972-78)

- Copy editor, Ultra Magazine and Houston City Magazine
- Freelance writer for numerous major market papers and magazines
Network Radio and Television (1978 – 81)
President of The Holland Group, a Houston-based production and promotions company, specializing primarily in radio entertainment programming. Wrote and produced a number of major radio entertainment programs, including:
- “Woodstock 10 Years Later,” ABC radio, XM Satellite Radio (2004-present).
- “Billboard’s Yearbook,” syndicated on more than 800 stations nationwide
- “Number One: Music of the Year, ’79,” for Billboard Magazine
- “Concert Over America,” CBS radio
- “Guitar, A Rock Episode,” TM Productions/NBC radio
- Wrote and coproduced the “Sports Unlimited” Emmy-nominated TV magazine series that aired in the late 70s and early 80s on PBS.
- Executive producer and co-director of radio and TV production of the 1980 New Orleans Jazz Festival.
Advertising Agency Creative (1981-87)
- Chief copywriter and broadcast producer, Gray, O’Rourke & Sussman, Toronto
- Broadcast producer, creative director, account supervisor, Gulf State Advertising Agency, Houston
C&E Communications (1987 – present) an independent political and corporate creative consulting firm. Written and produced and directed hundreds of film, video and print products, internal communications programs, political campaigns and public opinion issues.
Awards. Over the years, my work has won dozens of regional, national and international awards, including Addys, Tellys, Pollies, the Gabriel Award, CPB Excellence in Broadcasting Award, Brass Ring, Wave Review, Golden Quill, Lantern Award and recognition by various film festivals. Advocacy program produced for Texas Academy of Family Physicians in 2007 was recognized as Outstanding Advocacy Program of the year by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
